Map the quiet rectangle

Scroll to highlight windows, textiles, and task pockets in a schematic room. Use the warm-light helper to compare bulb choices at a descriptive level—results are illustrative, not measurements on site.

Reading the map

Window band: note where outdoor LEDs or street reflections enter; layered curtains often spread contrast more evenly than a single sheer panel alone.

Rest surface: keep chargers and bright screens away from pillows if you prefer a darker visual field.

Lamp stack: combine overhead dimmers with a low table lamp so tasks near the floor remain visible without lifting the whole room to daylight levels.

Textile buffer: rugs and drapes tame echo; the change is subtle yet noticeable when audio sources sit close to hard walls.

Temperature preferences vary; this site does not recommend a specific degree value. Instead, track whether fabrics feel breathable and adjust seasonally.
